Realistic adventures for part-time travelers
Hi, I’m Anya — a traveler with a full-time job, a packed Google Calendar, and a love for squeezing as much as possible into limited vacation days.
I started The Voyager Journal because I wanted to prove (mostly to myself) that travel doesn’t have to be constant, extravagant, or career-ending to be meaningful. I’ve found that some of the most memorable experiences I’ve had come from how thoughtfully the trip is planned and how open you are while you’re there.
Like many of you, I navigate PTO requests, flight deals, and the ever-present question: “Can I actually do this in just 5 days?” This blog is where I show you how. You’ll find detailed itineraries, scenic detours, underrated places, and honest tips about what’s actually worth your time.
I gravitate toward places that blend nature, history, culture, and food—especially if I can get a great view at golden hour. I travel with a camera (and sometimes a drone), which lets me tell stories through landscapes as much as through words.
This blog is for anyone who loves to travel but doesn’t want to turn their life upside down to do it. If that sounds like you, I hope you find inspiration here—and maybe even a new favorite place you didn’t see coming.
Thanks for reading, and happy travels,
— Anya
